Crane River Park 2

ruins edit

Damn it has taken me days to get back to writing this! Today the central stretch of the Park is a Nature Reserve which is a real pleasure to amble about in: stumbling ascross ruins such as those pictured above, remnants of gunpowder mills. There is also a wealth of features within the park which meanders along the route of the River Crane. There is woodland and baffle/blast mounds as shown below. There are Reed beds, sluice gates, water for wading and all sorts of fun to be had within the the park.

Fungus edi

FUNGUS!

Transport wise the Park is off the A316 going out of London past Twickenham Rugger Ground and Richmond College.

The best public Transport would be Twickenham BR station from Waterloo take a map and then ask the locals for directions!
