Not having got out and about much over the winter months I thought I would get my act together as the sun was out and the temperature rising and using a visit to Silvermans Mile End army surplus + store as an excuse, planned a trek along the Regents Canal to Dalston.
Having only visited the Canal beyond Camden Town once or twice this trip was largley new territory for yours truly . So new MA1 jacket on my back; off I went.
Top right is a very strange building, presumably an ex-lock keepers cottage with a modern carbunkle like extension protruding from its side. The building is located and I imagine a part of the Queen Mary university campus adjacent to the Regents canal, opposite the New Globe pub.
The main picture features modern flats opposite Millenium park with reed beds and the canal in the foreground.
