When I visited the site in early Spring it was only starting to come to life. Many of the outside plots and raised beds were largely quiet and only a few plants were begining to flex their muscles. But the potential of the garden was obvious and I look forward to visiting again soon, as Summer progresses.
Below right there is a photo of a smouldering Pizza oven which I was told, local children had used the day before to make their own Pizzas. In the evening on the day of my visit, a wine and asparagus tasting event was to take place.
Although small the Garden is full of surprises and a joy to see as well as providing a worthy resource for the community, a surprise in itself in these days of institionalised austerity.
