There has been a church on this site for almost 1000 years and during that time it has been visited by the Great Fire of London, Christopher Wren and the Blitz amongst other events and historical figures.
After lying derelict since being hit by a bomb in WW2 the Church was opened as a public garden in 1971; when I was 10 and it has taken me until now to not only visit but even hear about it! London is full of surprises.
St Dunstans is tucked away amongst the towering blocks of the City between the Tower of London and St Pauls Cathedral and offers a tiny bit of peace and quiet amongst the mass of concrete and glass that surrounds it.
